You have just finished interviewing the two finalists for an entry level computer analyst opening. They appear to be equally qualified in background and experience. However...

	The first, who lives ten minutes away in one of Fairfax's affordable dwelling units, was clearly the more "fresh and eager" of the two during interviewing.
	The second arrived five minutes late for the interview, apologized for having been delayed in traffic in what turned out to be a 70-minute drive from her home in Prince William County, was frazzled" about the impact of her late arrival on her hiring prospects, but otherwise appeared to meet all job requirements.

Which will you choose?

A month ago the best qualified finalist for your last opening lived in Loudoun County. You hired her. She usually comes in 5-10 minutes early each morning...but usually arrives complaining about the traffic...and having to leave home an hour before your office opens. She's a cheerful employee from 30 minutes after arriving until 30 minutes before quitting time. But...then its more grumbling..."Oh! I hate to have to think about spending another hour in traffic to get home."

She's not alone.

Most of your hiring for your low-to-moderate payscale jobs recently have been long-drive commuters...from Loudoun, Prince William, or the District.

With your management responsibilities for recruiting new employees for your high-tech business in Fairfax County ... where the unemployment rate is less than 3%... is there anything you can do to increase the pool of potential employees who live close by?
